Alexa's first Northwestern Bowl game!

And Alexa's first time watching Northwestern loose. She'll get used to it. We all do! Here I am with Alexa, all dressed up in Purple and Silver. Thanks, Jen & Family, for the sweatshirt and hat!

This year, Northwestern went up against Auburn in the Outback Bowl. Click HERE to read about the game, which was on New Year's Day. However, since yesterday's post was dominated by the news of Alexa's frist roll, I saved the photos to post today. Go Wildcats!

To watch the bowl game, we headed to a local restaurant where the Northwestern Club was having a watch party. We met up with my friend Julia, her husband and daughter Michaela. My dad, class of 1965, joined us as well!

Alexa slept through the first half of the game...

Then she woke up and was like, "We're losing?" What's going on?

Then things got exciting and Northwestern kept scoring!

But things got complicated... So many flags. Calls under review. She decided to stick with Daddy, who could explain what was going on.

Finally... She just couldn't watch anymore!

Final Score: Auburn wins 38-35 in overtime
