Yoga AND train ride! (video)

Wow, another fun-filled day! Alexa and I had a mommy-daughter date. We went to yoga class! It was even more fun because Alexa's friends Talya and Avery showed up! The girls had fun pretending to be sea animals and doing some yoga poses. Alexa moved her mat around the room. I think she liked it! Afterward, we took the girls out to brunch. They held hands as we walked down the street!

After Alexa's nap, we headed to a nearby Mall to ride the choo choo train! Alexa loved it so much that we took her on two rides, one with Daddy and one with Mommy. Henry just slept. Afterward, we went out for dinner. What a nice night!

Oh, I almost forgot... Here's another fun video of our train ride!

Music class AND gymnastics! (video)

What a great fun-filled day! We started out at music class with Alexa's friends Avery and Ella. As soon as we walked in, Ella ran up to give her a hug! The girls had so much fun running around hugging and fighting over toys (everyone wanted the red scarf!) After music class, Alexa asked her friends: "Doya wanna go to the tookie store?" They did. So, off we went!

After her nap, we went to check out open play at a local gymnastics center with Alexa's friends Eli and Talya. Alexa LOVED the trampoline! She also liked walking on the balance beam with Daddy.

Want more? Check out this video of Alexa jumping on the trampoline! She was so darn cute!

Ring Around the Rosie & Elephant song (video)

Today was a truly musical day! It started with music class, where Alexa decided that she didn't like the song being sung by the teacher, so she started spinning around and singing "Ring around the Rosie." Before long, her friend Ella and Ella's friend Henry wanted to sing with her. Soon, all three were holding hands in a circle and singing "Ring around the Rosie" - It was adorable!

After music class, we went to meet Grandma E and cousin Samantha at the Metro, then walked to lunch. And Alexa decided to sing her favorite song to Grandma E - "The Elephants Went out to Play." This is a new song to me, which we learned from Daddy, who used to sing it on the bus to camp!

I need LOTTA tookies! (video)

Grandma sent Alexa a tin of star cookies... And Alexa was excited to eat ALL the cookies! Here is a totally cute video that many of you have already seen. But I had to re-share! I love this video, cracks me up! I need ALL the tookies! I need LOTTA tookies!

Alexa's first theater experience!

We had a really fun day! Alexa and I went to see "Mouse on the Move" at Imagination Stage with my friend Tricia and her daughter Ella. The show was amazing, very interactive! But no photos allowed... I actually was having so much fun that I forgot to take any photos during our awesome play date. So here is a video preview of the show so you can see how awesome it was! We are planning to go see another show at Imagination Stage with all of Alexa's friends next month!

Our little Elmo (video)

Check out this cool hooded sweatshirt that Alexa got for Christmas from Aunt Kelly, Uncle Ben and cousin Athea! It is red with an Elmo face and has Alexa's name on it! Wow! She loves it and wants to wear it every day. However, she refused to let me take a photo, so this is the best I could do!

More of Alexa at our neighborhood park!

Tickle! Tickle!

Today is Aunt Jen's Birthday! So in honor of her birthday, we took another video of Alexa! Aunt Jen has been begging me to take more videos. Well, here you go! This is a clip of Alexa cracking up as I tickled her feet. She kept sticking her foot out asking me to tickle. Well, she finally had enough "teek-egle"!

Happy ... to you!

That's how Alexa sings the Happy Birthday song. It's so funny! She recently discovered a singing card in my night stand. It was recorded by my parents for my birthday. And it's now Alexa's favorite toy! She opens and closes it over and over, singing along "Happy ... to you!" Check it out... And Happy Birthday, Grandma! Alexa would say it, but she's too busy dancing to the Happy Birthday song!

Meanwhile, this morning Alexa had fun playing with Anne during a quick play date. She was running all around, crawling through Anne's tunnel and playing with Anne's kitchen. Anne is just learning to walk, so she took a few unsteady steps while Alexa raced around. I'm sure that they'll be chasing each other in no time!

Alexa visits the Honolulu Zoo!

This is the zoo I grew up going to! I have so many memories at this zoo. So naturally, I wanted to share my zoo with Alexa. Unfortunately, as usually happens, the zoo today is very different from the zoo of my memories. But we still had a great time! After looking at all the "ah-molls" we had a picnic lunch under a banyan tree in the middle of the zoo. Now that I'm getting the hang of slide shows, here's another!

Alexa's 1st Easter Egg Hunt!

Daddy helped Grandpa hide a TON of plastic eggs all around the yard for Alexa to hunt. Once we showed her what to do, she was off! She loved picking up the eggs and putting them in her basket. She also loved opening the eggs to discover the chocolate and goldfish inside! Yum! We enjoyed that part too! Anyway, I took way too many photos, but she was so cute! Note the adorable dress that she's wearing, handmade by Grandma. Here is a slideshow of my favorite photos:

Ba-ba-ba-ba-Babara Ann! (video)

These videos were from dinner last night. Alexa was enjoying her latest favorite song... In the first video, she's dancing along and clapping her hands. In the second VERY SHORT video, she started singing along! And in the third video, she decided to play with her tongue, which she has lately discovered. I wish they were all on one video. Anyone know how to stitch them all together? In the meantime... Enjoy!

Alexa plays in the snow!

So far, no snowmagedden this year. We did get some snowfall, but not much and it hasn't really stuck. So when we got a couple inches today, we were quick to break out Alexa's snow boots and snowsuit! Her pretty snowsuit is from her cousin Samantha! Anyway, we went out back and Alexa played with the snow while checking out these beautiful Adrondiak chairs that Papa and Mema brought us. Can't wait until it's warm enough to chill in the back yard in these chairs!

And now, here is Alexa walking in the snow... She looks like a giant pink marshmellow!

Off to the Tucson Farmer's Market!

But first, Alexa got another present from Aunt Kelly and Uncle Ben! This, I must say, was a real innovative idea... It's a baby blow toy, a whistle called "Tommy Toot" that toots when you suck or blow into it. How neat! At first, Alexa didn't know what it was. But once she figured it out, she ran around tooting and smiling at herself. So cute!

And now, here's a video of Alexa and Tommy Toot!

So, Tommy Toot in hand, we packed up Alexa and off we went to the Tucson Farmer's Market! We took a nice long walk as she napped. Then we had muffins and coffee while she continued to nap! Finally, when Alexa woke up, we got some goodies for her to snack on for lunch. Yum!

After lunch, Alexa ran around the farmer's market chasing her shadow! She studied it for a while, then figured out that she could play with it. And then the fun began! It's so fun to watch her...

Then, on our way to the car, Alexa decided that she didn't want to ride IN her stroller, she wanted to PUSH her stroller. Check it out... She's helping Daddy and Aunt Kelly push. What a great little helper!

Fun in Wanda's art studio (video)

So many drawers to open. So many toys to pick up. So many things to bang. Recipe for fun! Alexa enjoyed running a bit wild today with a toy doll and pair of cymbals, all found in Wanda's studio. Yay!

Wanna see for yourself? This first video of is of Alexa's new dance! And, no, the video is not set on fast motion. She's doing that herself! It's like a jig. Flashdance!

This second video is a bit rambling and not really about anything, just Alexa clanging on her cymbols, walking around, and, finally, figuring out that she can push Daddy over. Awww. That's easy, Daddy is indeed a push over for Alexa!

Finally, after all that fun, she sat on Daddy. Because, he's the closest thing to a rocking horse!

And then she played dress up! My crazy little girl, is this a hint that you want to go to Hawaii?

Alexa rocks, sings and plays the piano (video)!

Alexa was having a blast on her rocker... She was even riding with no hands! Crazy!

And on this video, Alexa was having so much fun that she started SINGING! Then, AFTER she finishes rocking, Daddy suggests that she play the piano, and she UNDERSTANDS him and heads for her piano! What a smart little girl! Then, keep watching and you'll catch her showing off her favorite word, "Dog!"

Alexa claps for her rocker (video)!

This video is from a week ago... Alexa was having so much fun on her rocker that she started clapping her hands! It was too cute! She absolutely loves this thing. She climbs on all the time and pushes the buttons to play music. What fun!

Alexa shows off her dance moves! (video)

This is from last week in New Jersey... We were trying to get Alexa to do her latest trick: Raising her arms when you say "Touchdown!" She didn't oblige. But she DID treat us to a cute little two-step!

Eating can be ... messy! (video)

Especially when you don't use a spoon! The good news: Alexa has taken to feeding herself with gusto! The bad news: She's more interested in whole hand insertion than scooping with a spoon. The result? Messy baby, messy high chair, messy floor, messy everything! But it sure looks like fun, huh?

Want to see for yourself? Put a bib on and get ready for a MESS!
