Happy Father's Day!

What a great day! I took Alexa jogging with me this morning so Daddy could sleep in. Here's my little munchkin all ready for our run!

After our run, we got some Starbucks and breakfast to bring home to Daddy! He opened his cards and presents. Here is Alexa with her Daddy as he's about to open his gifts.

Alexa made handprint artwork for Daddy in daycare! She also made him a photo book!  E-mail me if you want to flip through the book yourself and I can send you a link.

After all the fun, we walked to a neighbor friend's house to check out their lemonade stand. In the afternoon, after her nap, we went out for a Father's Day lunch and watched the Yankees game.

What a great day! Alexa is so lucky to have such a great daddy. She loves him so much! So do I!

First outdoor swim class & a walk to the park!

Today was HOT! Thankfully we had Alexa's first swim class at the outdoor Bethesda pool so we started the day off with a cool off. Alexa fussed a little when we first went in the water, but as she got used to the cold water, she relaxed and enjoyed it. Our little water baby!

We are taking the class with four other babies from my mom's group. Here we are with Avery & Brandon! Not pictured is Ella. We can't wait until next Saturday!

After a long nap following swim class, Alexa and I took a walk to a nearby park. Alexa played on the grass, played with my water bottle and loved being pushed in the swing!

Alexa loves our new running stroller!

Check it out -- our new BOB Ironman running stroller! We took it for a spin last weekend. This stroller has a fixed front wheel and shocks that are specifically designed for running. A fixed front wheel, as opposed to a swivel front wheel, which is easier to maneuver and what our other stroller has, is safer for running strollers. This stroller was smooth and fast! We got a great workout and Alexa had fun!

I would also note that we scored this stroller due to a great 20% off sale at REI, then got a Web site to price match it so we could get it with free 2-day shipping and no sales tax! Yay for deals!

Alexa enjoys a nice stroller ride on the boardwalk!

This is one of my favorite parts of the weekend. We took Alexa out in the stroller for a nice walk down the Ocean City Boardwalk! She had a great time people watching. We used a new stroller umbrella to keep her out of the sun. We all had such a good walk!

Oh, had to add this cute picture. This is Alexa in her car seat on the ride home. Look at her hugging her leg! So cute!

We took Alexa on a LONG walk! (video)

Another great day! To celebrate the amazing weather, Daddy and I took Alexa out in her stroller again. We walked to downtown Bethesda for lunch and to check out the iPad sales at Apple...

Then, Daddy was suddenly in need of a new pair of shorts. So he looked on his iPhone and found out that it's only 1.5 miles to the nearest Banana Republic in Friendship Heights. Alexa was due for a nap and we both had walking shoes on... So we WALKED to Friendship Heights!

It was actually not that far. After Daddy got some new shorts and bought Alexa a pretty little jumper at Baby Gap, we headed back toward Bethesda.

On our way back, we cut over to Kenwood (where we were yesterday) to check out the Cherry Blossoms and then walked the Capitol Crescent Trail back to Bethesda.

We stopped at a park, but the swings were being used, so we continued through the neighborhoods toward home. Click HERE to watch a video of Alexa kicking her legs as we walked! So cute!

Our last stop: Another park for so Alexa and Mommy could swing and Alexa could ride the see-saw with Daddy! Afterward, we walked home. What a LONG but great day! Alexa slep well that night.

Alexa sees her first Cherry Blossoms!

What a great day! Alexa and I met up with the women from my mom's group for lunch. Then we all walked down the Capitol Crescent Trail to see the Cherry Blossoms at Kenwood. It was amazing, all the trees abloom. So beautiful!

The babies took a nap during the walk. Then, we all sat on blankets on the grass while the babies played. Alexa wore her sun hat and played with her plastic car keys. What a nice time!

Finally, a shot of Alexa and Mommy with the Cherry Blossom trees! What a great day!

Alexa had a great time. What a happy baby!

A beautiful Spring Day!

We had a busy but wonderful day today! First, we took Alexa to a local pottery store to make hand and foot prints! The prints will be dried and fired. Then we can go back and paint them before they are fired again!

After our pottery fun, we headed to brunch with a bunch of mom friends and their babies. Alexa slept in the stroller! How cute is she?!

Then we went for a nice walk on the Capitol Crescent Trail with my friend Coleen and her baby, Drew. We stopped at a park and Alexa and Drew went on the see-saw together. They they took turns in the swing! It was hot out, so Alexa took off her new kicks and went in the swing barefoot! Fun!

We went for a walk in the neighborhood in the afternoon.

What a great day! We had so much fun with Alexa!

A wonderful and relaxing day!

What a great day. My friend Libby came over to hang out and Alexa was on her best behavior. She said hello and then went down for her nap! Later, when she woke up, we played on her mat.

We also showed off Alexa's favorite yoga pose! Alexa can't wait until Libby's little one arrives so she can have another friend to play with!

After our visit, Alexa practiced sitting on the couch...

And then we went for a walk!

We got burgers and amazing chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich sliders... Yum! Here is Alexa and Daddy at Black Finn.

What a great day! (Alexa showing off Mommy's new diaper bag...)

Alexa is trying to crawl!

Today was a wonderful day! I started off by taking Alexa to the mall for Stroller Striders. I ate so much over the weekend (caramel popcorn!) that I had to work out! Then Daddy and I took Alexa downtown for lunch and a walk along the Capitol Crescent trail.

Here is adorable Alexa in her stroller with Daddy!

She loves that giraffe!

Thanks Aunt Kelly & Uncle Ben for the cute "Tree Huger" onesie!

When we got home that night, we put Alexa on her mat and she started something new... Getting up on her knees!

First she rolled. Now she's trying to crawl! She's not going anywhere yet, but it's not for lack of trying. Once Alexa rolls onto her tummy, she pushes up to her knees. She even pushes back on her legs like a "down dog" yoga pose! Oh, and she's also rolling from her tummy to her back now. Oh, the progress!

Click HERE to watch a 40-second video of Alexa "swimming" on her tummy, pushing up on her arms and then pushing up on her knees!

Click HERE to watch a 40-second video of Alexa pushing up on her knees, then rolling onto her back and playing with her ball!

Our little sitter (sort of)!

So I'm not sure if this counts as sitting? She can't get into this position on her own and she can't lift her arms up. But if I sit Alexa up, I can get her to balance on her arms and sit on her own! She's been doing this for a week or so? I call it her tripod sit. Check it out!

Of course, Alexa can also sit on her Nod chair!

And here is a picture of her in her laying in her stroller! Today was a holiday, so I met up with some other women in my mom's group, then joined Daddy for a walk along the Capitol Crescent trail. What a great day!

We used the JJ Cole Toddler Urban BundleMe that I got NEW at the Wiggle Room consignment shop for $15 (usually $59)! It matches the JJ Cole Infant Urban BundleMe that we use in the car seat. The liner zips up like a jacket around Alexa to keep her toasty warm!

The grey padding that you see cushioning her head is the JJ Cole Body Support, which I got on sale for $14 (usually $25)! Our pediatrician recommended it to protect her neck and keep her head from bumping around too much. Sure looks cozy to me!
