Alexa's first Halloween!

And like a true little diva, she had TWO costumes. Oh yes she did!

First, Alexa dressed up like a little duck so she and Daddy could go as "Duck, Duck, Goose!" Here they are. Get it? Get it?

They wore this costume to our neighborhood party. There are a TON of kids in our neighborhood! We met several other young couples with babies who live on our block. It was a lot of fun and we've already exchanged e-mails and plan to get together!

Here is Alexa when I first put the costume on her. She was all giggles! Thanks to her Great Uncle Richard for the adorable (and warm!) costume!

After the neighborhood party, Alexa had a costume change... and dressed up like a little ladybug!

She had a ladybug hat and red and black swaddle blanket from Sozo...

Accented with red and black striped Baby Legs and a black turtleneck onesie! It was comfy and perfect for indoors.

After our neighborhood party, we passed out tons of candy to trick or treaters, then headed to my friend Mary Clare's house for a party. What a great first Halloween! (Even greater since the Yankees won!)

Walking the Capitol Crescent Trail

One of the really great things about Bethesda is all the running trails. A great one is the Capitol Crescent Trail, which runs from downtown Bethesda to downtown Washington, D.C. I have gone on walks down the trail with a couple different mommy friends. On a nice day, it's a great place to push your stroller!

On Friday, Alexa's daddy and I took the trolley to Bethesda Row and enjoyed a wonderful organic lunch at our new favorite place. Delish! Afterward, we walked down the Capitol Crescent Trail to Kenwood, enjoyed the swing set, then walked back. We also picked up some Halloween candy and a moustache... With Alexa snuggled in my Moby wrap, it was quite a work out for me to carry her!

Christmas in Bethesda!

We took a nice afternoon walk to Bethesda and got check out the new Christmas decorations! The whole downtown looked very festive. It'll be so pretty when it snows!

We also got to check out the Bethesda Farmer's Market, where we discovered The Souper Girl. Oh yeah... Fresh, homemade, organic soups! Yum! We have signed up and plan to order some as soon as we can!

Welcome Kaitlyn Marie!

Alexa is excited to welcome her newest baby friend to the world! How adorable is she?!

Kaitlyn Marie

Congratulations to my friend, her momma! Can't wait for play dates! Or... Another "girls trip" to Vegas! But we might have to leave our daughters home this time... :-)

Alexa and Catherine's play date!

Oh my cuteness! Will you look at these over the top adorable babies?! I went over to my friend's house today and we let the babies "play" -- Look at them! So cheerful and full of energy! What happy babies!

They LOVED this colorful toy ball!

To see more, click HERE for a video of the cute babies!

And, if you noticed above, Alexa is wearing her new Baby Legs! I got them a while back but didn't think they would fit her. Well, I saw a mom at the baby sling class last Friday with her newborn baby in them and I couldn't wait to try them! How cute is she?! I mean... How CUTE?!

I heart my Moby wrap!

Guess what came in the mail today?! My Moby wrap! I learned how to use several different baby slings and carriers at a class last Friday. My favorite ones were the Moby wrap and Maya sling.

Well... I found the Moby on sale for 15% off at Diapers.com and ordered one in black! Here is a picture of me using it to take Alexa on a walk on Wednesday.

And here is Dave, also using the same wrap, on another walk Wednesday.

What I love about the Moby is that it's soooo comfortable - and it has great back support. Plus it really holds the baby snug, so you have more freedom to move around with them.

Also, there are MANY ways to wrap the carrier... Pictured here is just one of the many styles!

Alexa and Grandma E!

On Monday, we drove back home from New Jersey... And Alexa slept nearly the whole way! Before we left, here she is playing - and then sleeping - with Grandma E!

Alexa meets more family!

Many firsts for Alexa today! First road trip, first time visiting New Jersey and the house where her Daddy grew up... And first time meeting her great grandmother, great aunt and two cousins!

Here is Alexa with her great grandmother! They share a birthday... Sept. 9th!

And here is Alexa with her great aunt!

She also got to meet her cousins!

My Birthday! What a day...

What an amazing birthday... I woke up and looked at my gorgeous baby daughter and knew it would be a great day. I mean, how can it get any better? Really?

Click HERE to watch a video of the Cutest. Baby. Ever.

After playing with Alexa, we loaded up the car and headed downtown...

I had signed up for a class at The Breastfeeding Center to learn how to wear different baby slings and wraps. The class was great! I met a lot of other moms and babies and learned how to wear different kinds of baby slings and carriers.

I tried on the Moby and Maya wrap and loved them! I ordered a plain black Moby sling but absolutely fell in love with this gorgeous purple one! I also want to get a Maya sling at some point... I love the stylish ring and the tail can be used to cover yourself while breast feeding! I also like the Ergo baby carrier and think we might want to try that one later on when Alexa gets a little bigger.

After the class, we went to lunch in our old neighborhood. Here is Daddy and Alexa in front of our old condo!

Daddy's gift to me was a beautiful Kate Spade diaper bag and lunch at one of our favorite places. Alexa's gift to me was that she slept through lunch so Momma could enjoy a nice glass of wine! After lunch, we went to get gelato. That's when Alexa decided to wake up!

What a great birthday!

Another great day for a walk!

Gorgeous day out again, so my friend Mary Clare came over with her baby Catherine for another walk. This time, we decided to break out our Baby Bjorn carriers. Our babies immediately fell asleep! So we made it to Starbucks and back with sleeping babies!

Oh, and we stopped at the Wiggle Room to pick up another Boppy nursing pillow so I can have one upstairs and one downstairs. Only $15! Score!

Finally, click HERE for your adorable Alexa video of the day!

Alexa enjoys her mobile (note video)!

I put Alexa in her crib tonight and she immediately took to her fabulous bird mobile! Her eyes followed it as it moved, she was definitely into it!

Click HERE to watch a 60-second video of her and her mobile!

After she fell asleep, I took more adorable photos of her!

I am cleared to exercise!

Today was a big day! Today, Alexa turned 6 weeks old. And today, I went in to see my doctor for my post-delivery check-up. I was given the thumbs up to exercise and promptly laced up my running shoes and went for a long walk!

I met up with my college friend Julia and her adorable baby girl to walk along the Capitol Crescent Trail. Once we started talking, we lost track of time and ended up walking about 3-4 miles roundtrip. It was such a beautiful day!

Pumpkins! Pumpkins! Pumpkins!

Beautiful day today, so we headed out to Butler's Orchard in Maryland to check out their pumpkin patch! They had a whole field of activities for kids... Face painting, bales of hay to climb on, barns to explore, farm animals, slides, hay rides, and much more! A great place to take Alexa when she's a little older!

We walked around and walked through a cornstalk maze!

And got some apples!

Then we hit the pumpkin patch!

But it was midday and there was no shade... Alexa didn't like the sun and was hungry so we didn't stay long. But we picked out a pumpkin to carve! The funny thing is that our pumpkin weighed 23 pounds -- that's more than double Alexa's size!

After all the pumpkin fun, we tried a new organic restaurant in downtown Bethesda. Yum! We also took a walk down the Capitol Crescent Trail. What a great day.

We are now watching the Yankees game! Better get some hits...

Update: Look who fell asleep!
