Don't get my wrong, some items are very cute. But with a growing midsection, there is a limit to how much you can change things up.

My second buy was a sort of group purchase... I really like this style of necklace but couldn't decide which one to buy! This olive green Czech glass bead necklace includes an irresistible collection of vintage wildflowers resting on an antiqued brass filigree for a really original look. Cost: $35

One new piece can really spice up a wardrobe! It can inject color and a whimsical fun that pulls the new look together.
So my new obsession, if you want to call it that, is finding the cutest most inexpensive pieces I can. And it's working - I've gotten compliments on all my new necklaces!
My first purchase was this handmade one-of-a-kind porcelain pendant with a lady's face hand painted with black underglaze. A clear glaze was applied over the painting and the piece was high fired to set it. It measures 2" by 1 1/2 " and came with the chain. Cost: $20

I got a similar necklace with a bright red poppy set against black faceted Czech beads on the brass chain. Cost: $33; Matching ring: $8
I ended up wearing both pieces to my friend's wedding last week, the green necklace to the ceremony with the pink dress and the black one (with the matching ring) with my long black dress to the reception. I got several compliments on each piece!
My most recent purchase was by far the cheapest! I couldn't resist the adorable bird motif that has become all the rage of late. It goes perfectly with jeans and I get compliments whenever I wear it! Cost: $6.50

Now, if you think these handmade items are adorable... Just wait until you see the adorable baby onesies and bibs that I am drooling over. More on that later!
