New Look - What do you think?

Just messing around with the blog... What do you all think of the new pink "look" and name? I am open to suggestions and opinions!

To recap... On Monday, we had a very BUSY day! We started the day with a bath! But before the bath, Alexa was in a very happy and talkative mood...

So in response to Aunt Jen's request for MORE and LONGER videos of Alexa... We have TWO!

Click HERE to see big smiles! And click HERE to hear her cooing. Her first coo!

Also on Monday, we called our pediatrician's office and OB-GYN in search of the swine flu (H1N1) vaccines.

Unfortunately, our pediatrician's office didn't get enough so they were ONLY giving it to parents of newborns (under 6 months) if they ALSO have another child at home under 3 years old. Argh!

We finally we got an "in" at our OB-GYN's office (thanks to Daddy's insistence!) and so we headed straight there. We both got the shot!

We ended the day watching the Yankees. But they lost! Boo! :-(

Yay! No more rain!

FINALLY... The rain has gone away! Today was still really cold, so we stayed close to home. But we are looking forward to the warmer temperatures predicted for this week! Still, in honor of the no rain, we got Alexa all bundled up for a walk around the neighborhood!

We used our new fleece Baby Bjorn cover and it kept her toasty!

So toasty, that she fell asleep!

Later, she played on her activity mat. She is now grasping at things!

Even later, after entertaining several wonderful visitors throughout the day (who brought us homemade cookies, spaghetti and gifts!), she zonked out with Daddy. How cute!

Go Yankees!

On Friday, we got our mojo on with ballpark franks for dinner. Thanks Daddy!

Alexa even got into the spirit, pulling out her Yankees onesie!

On Saturday, Papa Bean decided to pull out his jersey for luck. So Alexa dressed up again to watch the game with Daddy. How cute are they?!?!

As the game ran late... They both got tired. First Alexa yawned...

Then Daddy yawned...

But Alexa hit the sack first!

In the end, after 13 innings, the Yankees won! Yay!

Great day ... Rain or no rain!

And rain it did - All day! But we still had fun. Here is adorable Alexa the Great on Friday morning. She was in a good mood!

Click HERE to watch a 19-second video of her giggles.

The first thing we did was take another bath! And what better time than now to break out this adorable duck bath robe from Alexa's Great Uncle Richard! How adorable?

I mean... Seriously. How ADORABLE is she?!

Once we were all bathed and bundled up, we headed over to Mary Clare's for another play date with baby friend Catherine! Look at these adorable babies, only 11 days apart!

Speaking of getting bundled up, we broke out this infant car seat cover, a great shower gift! Thanks Janelle!

Today, we did NOTHING!

Because it rained. Again. Argh! Rain, rain, go away! Since it's cold and rainy, we don't want Alexa to get cold or sick, so we stayed in. And watched TV and slept and ate. It was fabulous.

First, I caught up on all of the "Flash Forward" shows... Addicted! Love it! I also took more cute pictures of Alexa...

And click HERE for today's cute Alexa video!

Also today, we got this ADORABLE storyboard from Alexa's photo shoot! LOVE IT! Now to decide where to hang it... In her nursery?

More Alexa ... On Video!

This morning, Alexa hung out with Daddy... How cute are they?!?!

This afternoon, we had planned to go walking on the Capitol Crescent Trail... We got all dressed up and fed, and then it started raining. Doh! So we put Alexa in her swing! As soon as we turned it on, she passed out. It was instantaneous!

Click HERE to watch a video of her in her swing!

And then we watched a movie... "Away We Go." It was cute.

Finally...

Click HERE to watch another 30-second movie of Alexa today, eating her hands!

Look familiar? It's what she loved doing in utero! (Click HERE to watch her sucking her hands on an ultrasound at 30 weeks!)

Alexa tops 9 1/2 pounds!

Today was Alexa's one-month pediatrician's appointment. And we learned that she has grown A LOT! I mean, she has been eating nonstop, so it's good to hear that it's been productive!

Here is how much she's grown:

Birth weight: 7 pounds, 12 ounces
Today's weight: 9 pounds, 7 ounces
WEIGHT GAIN: 1 pound, 11 ounces!!

Birth length: 19 3/4 inches
Today's length: 21 3/4 inches
LENGTH GROWN: 2 inches!!

Thankfully, even at this larger size, she is still impossibly cute! Even when, after being weighed in the buff, she peed all over Daddy and the examining table. Oh yeah... Go Alexa! Daddy still loves you. :-)

Goodbye Aunt Missy!

Aunt Missy had to take the train home today, so she said goodbye to Alexa by reading "Goodnight Moon" to her! How cute are they?!

Aunt Missy also gave Alexa this adorable bean hat, in honor of her nickname Lima Bean! So, of course, we dug out the cameras and did a little photo shoot...

After all the photo fun, Daddy, me and Grandma took Alexa on another walk to downtown Bethesda. This time, we ate outside at Austin Grill. Here we are on our walk home. Another fun day hanging out with our baby!

Back at home, Alexa enjoyed more time on her activity mat

And more daddy time!

Another Amazing day with Alexa!

Saturday was another day with great weather, so we walked to downtown Bethesda again!

This time, we stopped at Le Pain Quotidien for coffee and pumpkin pie. We also did a bit of light shopping, picking up a sun hat for Alexa at Daisy Baby (on sale for $4!) and some cute earrings for mommy at Ten Thousand Villages.

Here is Alexa hanging with Daddy and Grandma:
